Ewen Gillies founded in 1969 have to a degree outgrown the family firm image having worked the length & bredth of the coutry & with their sister companies have an ability to produce contracts with a turnover in excess of £1.5 million. However, our commitment to our clients is as strong now as it was when Ewen Gillies started out those many years ago.
The Firm have over the years retained a core staff of various tradesmen. With a staff base covering all aspects of construction the firm is well equipped to undertake single projects up to £1.5 million.
A member of the Scottish Builders Federation & the Register of House Builders, we are proud of their Highland and Islands Roots and none more so than in Skye & the Highlands of Scotland. The firm is still controlled by the family & the day to day running of the firm is undertaken by Ewen Gillies & his wife Elaine.
Awards are not new to this progressive firm with various certifications having been presented for the quality of their work from the likes of the Association for the Protection of Rural Scotland and Housing in the Countryside.
Their client Bank ranges from private clients, Housing Associates and National Companies through to Local and Central Government. They also generate their own workload by way of Private Housing Sites and indeed have recently completed numerous high quality developments in the area.
Other works include Replacement Little Theatre, Nairn, Blaintore Community Hall, Kyleakin Community Hall, Renovations & Alterations to the Plockton Hotel, Refurbishment of the North of Scotland Sheriff Courts and Refurbishment of Eilean Donan Castle.
The firm operates from modern office premises at Seafield Road, Inverness together with an extensive workshop facility to provide clients with any bespoke and or shop fitting requirements they may choose, providing the back up to the on site construction team.
